Fish Punk + Flying Fish
2019, Dimensions variable
This piece was commissioned for temporary exhibition at Bloomingdales in NYC. It was made to celebrate a Johnson & Johnson spray bottle that was being made from ocean plastic and had a water tank with floating fish. The entire installation was made from post-consumer plastic. There was a concurrent exhibition of 2000 flying fish made from ultrasonic welded halves of 2L soda bottles that were cut, airbrushed and welded to swim above shoppers heads. Those fish are now on permanent exhibition through a collaboration with Radical Media at the Griffin Museum of Science + Industry in Chicago.
